-Dispute Resolution and Litigation
The depth of experience and expertise of the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team at Philip Lee Solicitors enables us to work with our clients to achieve the practical, speedy and cost-effective resolution of disputes across a wide range of commercial and other areas. At the heart of our approach is the recognition that disputes constitute an obstacle to the achievement of business goals and the successful implementation of commercial strategies. By developing and effecting case-management strategies responsive to our clients' particular requirements, we aim to ensure a successful result by managing the risks associated with litigation, whether by means of negotiation, mediation, arbitration or formal litigation.

Our experience in litigation and dispute resolution extends to all levels of the national courts, including the commercial and competition divisions of the High Court. In addition, we have represented clients at the European Court of Justice and at the appellate body of the World Trade Organisation. We are amongst the few solicitors' firms in this jurisdiction to develop an in-house advocacy capability and have successfully run cases on behalf of both public and private sector clients in conciliation and arbitration proceedings.

We have extensive experience in representing both public and private bodies in disputes arising from the award of public contracts and we have successfully litigated a number of challenges to contract awards at national level in the construction sector. We have also acted in a wide range of judicial review proceedings in the context of decisions of national regulatory agencies.

Utilising our competition law expertise, we have acted for a number of private companies in High Court civil law proceedings relating to infringements of the national and European competition law regimes.

Our general commercial litigation work includes breach of contract claims, intellectual property disputes, insolvency proceedings and debt recovery. We have also been involved in many actions in which we have secured interlocutory injunctions on behalf of clients requiring immediate judicial remedies.
