Brian is an associate in the corporate, commercial and finance units of the firm.

He advises a broad range of corporate and institutional clients on commercial law areas, in particular intellectual property, data protection, information technology, and electronic communications. This frequently involves the drafting of various types of commercial contract, data protection and privacy policies, intellectual property licences and document retention policies. 
 
Brian also provides ongoing advice on corporate transactions such as joint ventures, private equity investments, restructurings and acquisitions, and in relation to structured financing.

Brian specialises in advising media and entertainment clients. He advises independent film and television producers on the financing and production of projects and on co-production agreements with other producers. His experience includes advising on equity and section 481 tax-based financing arrangements; drafting agreements in respect of writers, composers, directors and actors; and advising on copyright clearance issues. He also provides ongoing advice to a large number of promotion companies and marketing bodies in relation to the promotion and advertising of consumer products.

Brian graduated with Bachelor of Corporate Law and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Honours Degrees from National University of Ireland, Galway and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2006.

He was recipient of the Irish Times prize for Media Law in 2000 and has published articles on media law areas.

Brian lectures for Screen Training Ireland (STI) and the Irish Centre for Talented Youth (CTYI).

He is also an Irish trade mark agent and a European Trade Mark Attorney.
