Jonathan heads the corporate and finance practices of the firm and has been a partner since 2002. He specialises in infrastructure projects, media and in a range of corporate and commercial transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions and restructurings. He previously practised as an in-house lawyer for over six years, first as director of business and legal affairs of a leading independent film and television company and subsequently with an Irish technology start-up which developed an online financial services platform.
His experience includes many project financing and other banking transactions, sale and leaseback and other asset-based financing, corporate acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and corporate bond issues across a range of sectors, including energy and media. He is recognised as a leading practitioner in the area of film and television finance.
Jonathan has also advised both public and private sector clients in relation to a number of the largest infrastructure projects in the State, including several major public private partnerships such as the Greystones Harbour and Marina PPP and the Metro North PPP, and has developed innovative contract documentation for several of those projects.
Jonathan is recommended in Legal 500 (2008 and 2009) and Chambers Europe (2008 and 2009).
